I know you guys are disappointed about the Silver Award, but honestly, like what Mr Tan and Ms Seow said, it's not the result that we get from SYF that mattered that much, it's how we sang to the best of our ability and showcased our talents to the judges. Though we didn't manage the Gold, there's always next time. So don't ever give up, we'll make it. Yes, we will, only time will prove. It's not the end of the world okay? okay...here goes 1. when you go up to stage tmr. relax, enjoy yourself and let the audience hear your sincerity in the songs... dont think about getting the gold. okay? if it was our best and we got a silver, so be it;D 2. remember to smile and love the sound that we are producing. even if we are out of tune, dont panic. smile.. look like that is how it is supposed to sound even if it's wrong 3. dont push your voice to sound louder. if that is the loudest u can go, do not sing any louder. it will cause the whole section to go out of tune and the voice will sound very constricted. 4. trust the person standing beside you that she will sing the correct thing. even if they make a mistake, smile even wider like how i do when pearlyn makes a mistake in diu diu dang a. 5. if you are interested in reading about thoughts of a conductor on other syf choirs, go to this website. you will see that the reason for not getting gold is because of going out of tune. http://www.sing4harmony.blogspot.com/ so altos, i know we can do it, stay really in tune so that the other sections will follow and give your best tmr. SYF is in two days time! It's so soon right? Please take very good care of yourselves(yes, i know i already said this before) and drink lots of water. Don't take any heaty foods or any other kinds of food that will cause you to lose your voice. (touch wood) Don't want THAT to happen! Come on, what's enduring these foods for two days? WE CAN DO IT!!!! xD Also, remember all these things! (omg, i feel like a parrot) ♪♫ Bring your court shoes! ♪♫ Wear sandals/slippers/shoes to school if you want to, but change into court shoes while singing for morning assembly. ♪♫ You are excused from PE. ;D YAY! ♪♫ Meet at 10am on Monday in Seminar Room. Go eat something first if you haven't, don't starve your poor body. ^^ it needs ample food to provide it with energy to sing! love, hyena♥ |

As Pei Pei has already said, we can be dismissed at 10am on Monday which is the day of SYF! I know that everyone are all extremely hardworking people and don't want to miss lessons, but too bad ;D And where is the Grand Venue? It is none other than the Seminar Room! xD HAHAHAHA. Remember to bring your COURT SHOES too! you MUST remember to bring them, they are very important! If you don't have court shoes, go buy them during the weekends. take care of your health, drink lots of water and sleep early! ^^ Don't want to fall sick when SYF is just round the corner (3 days away)! And remember to wear school uniform and bring along your tie tomorrow for Speech Day. Pin your hair up too -- don't want it falling over your face and making you look like a ghost xD P.S.
