Dear Choir, Have you ever wanted to watch other choirs in action? Ever wanted to be amazed by melodious voices? Well, here's your chance!!!!!! SYC ENSEMBLE SINGERS present SYC & FRIENDS venue: Esplanade Concert Hall date: 13th December 2009, Sunday time: 7.30pm So, what exactly is this concert all about? SYC Ensemble Singers are celebrating their 45th anniversary this year and the performance will be directed by guest conductor Vytautas Miskinis (from Lithuania, land of choral giants) in an evening of music from the Baltic states. Other special friends include professional jazz musicians Tamagoh (drums) and Tony Makarome (string bass), who together with the SYC Ensemble Singers and Miskinis, will premiere a work for choir jazz trio and additional piano - the LIGHT MASS (by Miskinis himself) Ticket costs: $20, $25, $30 and $35 (inc. SISTIC fee) - if we order in bulk there'll probably be a subsidy plus complimentary ticket so maybe we'll get to pay less? not sure...so just take the original price as the confirmed ones for now If you're wondering why should you even bother to attend this concert....well, this will give us a chance to be part of the audience while another choir perform and experience for ourselves what interests the audience or leave them in awe then, we put these qualities in our future performances and improve(: Plus, it's one day after our own concert, so take it as a break and relax or a celebration( AND! Ms Jennifer Tham (our ex-ex conductor) and Jollin (senior) will be performing so we should lend our support right? In any case, this concert will be compulsory to attend unless you have a valid reason. But given the ticket price of this concert, you can expect a certain standard(: so try to make time for it k? Please inform your SLs whether you will be coming, reasons why you can't make it as well which ticket you would like to buy. SLs, please compile all responses and pass me the names by next practice, 10th Nov. Tuesday. Thanks |
